"Swing Fore Seniors" 3rd annual golf tournament raises thousands for seniors

4th Annual "Swing FORE Seniors" Golf Tournament

Randolph Senior Adults Association hosted the 3rd Annual ‘Swing FORE Seniors’ Charity Golf Tournament on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Pinewood Country Club in Asheboro.
The Tournament’s signature sponsor was the City of Asheboro. Chaired by Bill Croom proceeds from the tournament were able to strengthen, expand, and support senior programs in Randolph County.
Registration began at 10 a.m. Golfers enjoyed a pre-tournament lunch at 11 a.m. The format for the tournament was Captain’s Choice four-player with a shotgun start at 12 p.m. The event included prizes for the top three teams and closest-to-the-pin.
First Place (56): Insurance Associates of the Triad Team (Players: Wade Harris, Duffy Johnson, Doug Leonhardt and Bryan Dozier).
Second Place (57): The City of Asheboro Team (Players: Andrew Connor, Doug Kemp, Shannon White and Pearson Parks).
Third Place (57): FirstHealth Team (Players: Jordan Taylor, Mike Dutton, Ethan Sasser and Chris Garbark).
Closest to the Pin winners: Ralph Eddy (#17) and Steve Wrenn (#8).
